Kingston Goes Green in Three Ways

green1Continuing education and Certified Green Professional designation:The NAHB’s Certified Green Professionalâ„¢ designation recognizes builders, remodelers and other industry professionals who incorporate green building principles into homes— without driving up the cost of construction. Class work leading to the designation provides a solid background in green building methods, as well as the tools to reach consumers, from the organization leading the charge to provide market-driven green building solutions to the home building industry

green2Home Energy Assessment Programs:We offer a free comprehensive visual examination of the home for potential energy savings, comfort issues and indoor air quality issues, often referred to in the industry as building performance standards. Many consumers can substantially benefit from the recommendations from such a visual audit. If more comprehensive testing is recommended or desired, that can be performed on a fee basis. This allows the current situation to be technically analyzed and quantified in a report, then retested after remedial work is performed and final numbers provided in order to quantify a before and after comparison.

green3Building Performance Science- the heart of green remodeling. What is green home remodeling, and how can you incorporate green into your project? It’s an approach to remodeling that not only makes your home look better, but also work better–all while saving you money on utilities, adding value, and enhancing your health and the environment. Kingston believes that the heart of the matter is incorporated in Building Performance science. This is a holistic approach to a project in which the entire home would be analyzed by an energy audit as described above. The recommendations coming from that audit impact the design and performance of the remodel, but can increase performance of the entire home.
